Thee Open Door has recently collaborated with community service agencies and providers to help in the preservation of families and individuals.
|
In doing so, Thee Open Door has established such ministries as 'Adopt-A-Social Worker' and 'Adopt-A-Shelter'; in addition to a 'Pantry' ministry and a ministry that provides for youth in foster care. These ministries provide emergency food, new clothing, shoes, blankets, toiletries, backpacks, household items and other essential items needful for families and individuals to thrive and achieve sustainability in day-to-day living. Other provisions include youth birthday and Christmas gifts and meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays for families in need. While funding for these programs are generally supported by the donations of its congregants and the church itself, Thee Open Door invites all those interested in helping the church to reach out to the community to get involved by donating any of the above mentioned items, as well as, any other family sustaining items. Thee Open Door is a 501(c)3 organization, therefore, all donations are tax deductible. For inquiries or to make donations, contact Anchanel J.
